Kids in the Kitchen is led by a COTA, this fun and hands on group teaches children basic life skills and promotes independence and safety in the kitchen. Each week, your child will be challenged to use critical thinking and problem solving skills to develop and execute basic meals/snacks from the planning to the clean-up. This group will also encourage socialization with peers, development of motor skills related to kitchen tasks, and educate on healthy food options.
If you are interested in a class for your child, but the age range does not match, please complete an application form and send it in anyway. Age ranges are guides and we may be able to adapt the group to fit the needs of those interested.
The groups offered this summer do require children to have minimal verbal skills. Please consider this as you choose a group for your child. Please feel free to call the number below to ask specific questions about the appropriateness of the group for your child.
A limited number of scholarships are available; please contact our office for an application.
Groups can be paid for by cash, check, or other community-based funds (ARC, etc.). Please include your child’s name on ALL payments so that it may be applied directly to your account.
